Department of Sanskrit
The department of Sanskrit was established in 1970. Being the mother of all regional languages, the study of Sanskrit is not only of linguistically importance, but it is also useful for comparative study of Sanskrit and other languages.
Sanskrit is the most scoring subject. Right from the beginning, the students are inclined to take keen interest in studying this language. Students can opt to take Sanskrit as an optional subject as well as a second language for arts and commerce.
Highlights of the department:-
From 2016 department of Sanskrit actively organizes 10 days “Sanskrit Sambhashan Shibhir” for the students to develop their communication skills in Sanskrit. Since 2016, the department has started conducting a quiz competition on Shreemad Bhagvatgeeta which is organised by Panchakrishna Prabotham Mandal Buldhana for developing spiritual base . The study of Sanskrit enables one to understand the ‘Úpanishads’ and ‘Bhagwadgita’ which enlightens the concepts of atmatatva and selfless life.
